This cartoon is Raphael's design intended for a tapestry in the Sistine Chapel. Raphael painted the sheets of paper. A weaver copied the design to a tapestry. Many years later the sheets were mounted onto canvas. The man holding the crippled man's hand is Peter. He is accompanied by John. |
